Scottie Burkett is a Vietnam veteran who was injured during the war. "I'm not in a wheelchair yet, but I will be soon. A ramp would make getting in and out of my home a lot easier," Scottie said with a smile. It wasn't long after we finshed the ramp that Scottie decorated it with his American flag.

The Crisis Center is a place for people to go and find temporary shelter if they are a victim of domestic violence. One resident said, "Thank you for what you are doing. It looks really great and the colors are so soothing." I couldn't help but notice her bruised eye as she smiled.

This super grandmother and grandfather are raising their grandkids. He works full time and she stays home and cooks and cleans. They got a new bathroom. But when the MNB volunteers saw the kitchen, they attacked that as well. The family was elated and served us dinner the night we finished. It was outstanding. |

God is good and is doing amazing things. If you would like to be a MNB volunteer, email will_stevens@oakwoodbaptist.org. You can either be a Crew Chief (you know what you are doing), or a Worker (you do what you are told). There is plenty of GOOD work to be done. Let's get after it!
