Mark 9 is a ministry that integrates children with disabilities into the life of the church. Our goal is to provide each child a safe and loving place to experience God’s love and the chance to worship Him in their wonderful and unique way.
Volunteers called buddies are paired with each child and are trained to care for them while they are in Bible Study. The buddies assist the children with their classroom activities and with transitions.
Bible Study for Adults
We offer a Bible Study for adults with special needs on Sunday mornings. The class is called “The Sonshine Class” and meets at 10:45 in room 103 of the Adult Education Building.
To enter a child into the program for Sunday (morning or evening), for Wednesday night, or to volunteer, please contact Debbie Gray at Debbie.Gray@oakwoodnb.com.
Advance notice is required so that the appropriate buddy can be arranged before Sunday or Wednesday night.
